7650 is pushed as a multimedia phone, and it couldn't play mp3 or mp4 by default. Those programs were third part, and maybe someone will release something similar to t610, but 2megs...

This memory issue IS important

I think you missed my point...

You would have had difficulty posting anything without your T68i, right? The P800 is a PDA/phone combo (sorry to state the obvious!) and as such is not really comparable to using two separate-purpose devices.

Granted the iPAQ is superior in terms of SW, memory capacity and quantity of available apps, but you have to respect the fact that the P800 is, without doubt, the best single device of it's kind on the market now, previously or in the near future.

Ah, I see what you mean now Of course it would be difficult to post anything with my T68i And Yes, I know the P800 is a PDA/Phone combo, but still doesn't really impress me.

The p800 to me feels so limited in many ways, but for the price of the P800, I suppose that's reasonable than buying two devices for a $1000.

@ Froddan

The T610 most certainly doesn't have enough CPU power to play mp3 or mp4.

Sure more memory than 2MB would be nice (more memory is always nice), but I think 2MB should be good enough when you consider how small the image sizes are and how small the java/mophun apps are.

That logic is flawed..by that reasoning... a PC is only PUSHED as an office machine since WindowsXP cannot handle full word/spreadsheet functions by default w/o installing OfficeXP

The 7650 IS a multimedia device because it has an open OS. It allows installation of APPLICATIONS, not just games/media. Which means, you are ALLOWED to expand the functions of the phone. So 4MB is small for such a device. The 7650 has the same specs (minus the memory) as the 3650... so it shouldn't be classified as a different machine.

The T610 is a phone. It wasn't given a full OS. It is Java.Mophun game enabled...that's all. Any internal MP3/video capabilites that can ever be added will be HACKS or work-arounds...not something the hardware was built to handle. So with the allowed games/photos/ringtones... 2MB is a lot of space. And considering it's a lifestyle (not performance) phone, it can handle a lot.

This is quoted from another thread here on Esato:
"How come MAC users allways have to say macs are better and go on about it? i dont see anywhere on the windows site saying hey all mac users, windows is better... maybe it's because windows dont have to?"

Now you're all probably wondering, what the XXXX has that got to do with anything???
I know, I know, but now change Mac to SE, and Windows to Nokia.
You get the picture? No offence, just a thought of mine.

The t610 is without a doubt a good phone, but it's not perfect and the memory is too small

That review also says the 7250 doesn't have an email client onboard... This is something I use quite a bit on my T68i, and T610 also supports this.

Ok, Let's get real here:

The SonyEricsson T610 has 2MB of internal memory. The Nokia 7250 has 3,5MB. (The 7650 which is considered a real smartphone has 3,6MB...) NOTE: mobile.burn.com said the phone rapported 5MB free memory, Nokia however does not.

The display on the T610 is 128x160, which equals to 20480 pixels with 65536 colors. The 7250 has 128 x 128 pixels = 16384 with 4096 colors. The math is simple, T610 has a FAR better display.

The T610 camera can take pictures up to 352x288. It features a night-shot function, can use an attaced flash, and has other digital effects like Sephia / Black&White amongst others. The 7250 can take pictures up to 352x288. No digital effects, no flash available. Better camera in Nokia? Not according to the numbers.

The T610 is 102 x 44 x 19 mm = 85cm³ and 95g. The 7250 is 105 x 44 x 19 mm = 88cm³ and 92g. T610 is smaller, but 3g heavier, but then again, the 7250 is made from plastic, not sweet aluminium..

The math is simple. The Nokia has a tad more memory but S U C K S everywhere else! The 7250 doesn't even have Bluetooth!

The T68 changed everything and sent the designers at other mobile manufacturers back to the drawing board for almost a year. Sony Ericsson leaps ahead once again and the others will have to work hard to keep up. Ericsson has been more technically advanced for several years. Screen resolution, they were first with graytones in displays (Nokia have never had a chance against the BW / graytone displays of Ericsson), functions, hell the R520 even used the IR-transmitter/reciever as a distance-measuring device(!!).

Now stop nice around. The 7250 doesn't even compare to the T610.

the review mainly compares the 7250 against the 7210 and there is a great improvement - clearly if the review directly compared the 7250 against the T610 the T610 would be the winner!

the 13 sec trick cleared enough space for me and my much loved t300

what i am thinking tho is that the t610 has a built in camera and i will take many more pictures

so i want 3MB+

what i really want is built in MP3 and a memory stick slot, would pay extra £100 for that
