Laffen and the others, I would like to ear your opinion on this matter of the T68i and if you think we will have the MMS upgrade and if the T68i will have more memorie than ours even after the upgrade?
I would like to ear a positive opinion because I´m really starting to stress out!

Well i would like to interfere! I've read many articles about the t68i- the changes will concern the look and the memory won't be divided according to different sections.

You can upgrade your "old" T68 with the new MMS software. That's for sure. I've talked to Ericsson about this.
I'm not sure about the memory, but I think the phones we allready possess have a lot of unused memory inside.
I have tested the existing T68 with MMS software, and the unit I held in my hand was loaded with 54 changable background images. And this was not a T68i.
I even tried to send a MMS to another T68, and it worked fine except for the slide-show function. 5 images (which I think is T68's limit in one MMS), some text and background sound was sent from one T68 to another. |

@laffen
Besides that 54 changeable backgrounds, what other features will be included in the MMS upgrade?

Functionality with the beta software I tried:
- Downloadable "packages" (via WAP) which includes one theme, one background and one melody.
- You will also be able to create your own themes.
- 64, not 54 background logos.
See earlier post about this http://esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=1723&forum=2#post12840
I guess it took around 15 seconds to send 5 logos, some text and one melody. Probably a little longer than it takes to view one WAP page with 5 logos on Esato's WAP site.
The receiving phone can choose to automatically download MMS messages, or just receive the subject and download the content later.

Ericsson stated right from the beginning, that we will have the MMS-upgrade. So of course we will get this,..no reason to doubt this.
Funny thing is, that with the other software-upgrades, people didnt worry,..now they suddenly do,..why ? This mms-upgrade is just another upgrade,..the only difference is, that its bigger
Some people already have this on the T68M, and it works fine,..so there wont be a problem with that,..just as laffen say too.
Its very hard to say something about T68i, no one seems to know for sure.
There're a lot of questions, e.g.
Why didnt Deadman's friend have a box for his T68i ?
Why doesnt it say T68i in the bottom ?
Some say it will go on sale on the 14th of march,..some say it wont ?
Could it be a prototype ?
Does it have the same memory-capacity as our T68's ?
I'm quite sure that Ericsson will reveal some things on the press-conference on the 5th of march.
Dont stress out,..no one knows anything for sure yet about the "famous" T68i.
When nothing is completely 110% sure, stories/rumours fly around,..and people start getting ideas of their own.
Dont worry about it,..I dont
Personally I'm just gonna wait, because thats all we can really do

I don't understand why people take a stress from this kind of thing. You really cannot do anything about it you must just wait.
As people are stated you can upgrade your phone. I also believe so because SE has answered me so.
What comes to memory I think that current model has just enough memory for normal operation. |
