If you hold the C button for a second or two a menu will apear. Standby menu, where you have two alternatives.

  1. Turn on/off keylock
  2. Turn on/off silent.

Yes, its the same two as when you press the Options button

On the T39 the only function pressing and holding the C key has is to toggle silent mode. The keyboard locks automatically when you close the lid. I find the C function quite useful since it is a fast way to turn off all sounds on the phone.

Yes I agree with you, its useful on the T39 but not on t68. its only a slower way to turn on/off keylock and sound

Old news. All ericssons since the T-series have that feature. It doesn't popup a menu on older phones, but activates silent.

The menu under C button is the only convenient way to use keylock and silent mode in t65. That's cause the blue button is reserved only for data access.

On the R320 the only way to put/off the silent is also by pressing the C-button because the other button is the microphone button. But if I also had an option button I think it would be very practical.

yes, I know it has a function on the other ericsson phones. the thing is I cant understand why they have it on the T68 where there also is a optionsbutton.
