As people who've looked will know the startup and shutdown animations are stored on the phone as mp4 files. Mine are Orange ones, so does anyone have the original SE ones?

Also, I've looked at the guide to changing the colour scheme on My-Symbian.com using the SDK, but as their images are broken and I can't figure out what to run from the SDK to change settings, can anyone help me out please?

Cheers

You can get the original SE startup/shutdown screens by renaming the folder "sysdata" to something else (ie "sysdatax"). Orange phones play the mp4 files in this folder on startup/shutdown. Renaming the folder means they will not play and the p800 defaults to the SE mp4 files.

That worked a treat, thanks!

I guess it'd be possible to put other mp4's in there which it would use?

aint gotta clue on the settings, altho couldnt u just copy the original ones to ur pc and get the settings off them?

anyway, re: renaming the folder to get rid of orange ones, why not just delete the orange ones altogether, thus ridding the shite and freeing up some memory at the same time!
