can anyone tell me if I can toss my Palm and use the P800 as my Palm instead? Will this baby sync with Palm Desktop software? |

As far as I know, your P800 won't sync with your Palm desktop.I used to have a T68i syncing with my Palm desktop via XTNDConnect full version. But when I purchased my P800, I made the move to Outlook. The full version of XTNDConnect will enable you to sync your Palm Desktop with Outlook. And then, you can now sync Outlook with your P800. The only way to sync palm with Outlook (which you will need to do before you can sync your P800 with Outlook) is to use a third party sync s/ware.. like.. Intellisync Desktop, or Pocket Mirror or Desktop to Go... these s/wares allow you to map Palm desktop contact fields to Outlook Fields. (Remember, the P800 only link 7 outlook phone number fields: Home Phone 1 and 2, Business Phone 1 and 2, Home and Work Fax and Mobile, so keep this in mind when mapping palm to outlook). Once Plam data has successfully migrated to MS Outlook, the P800 desktop s/.ware works without any intervention.. Hope this helps. |

it will not sync because the P800 uses symbian as its operating system which is very much different from palm os.

You don't sync the palm handheld with the P800. the sync takes place thru the desktop. So you first migrate to Outlook from Palm using Intellisync for instance, and then, the p800 software can be set to syn with Outlook. |

How can I sync mpy address book ýn palm desktop software with P800?
I`ve trýed Intellisync, It works realy good if you have palm device; outlook snyc with palm then I can snyc P800 with outlook. However If you don`t have Palm in the cradle Palm desktop & Outlook don`t snyc. Then I cannot get addresses into P800. Please help?
