Someone must be able to help here as most have already syncronized their pc's.
The phone connection link in the task bar says im connected on port 3 but for some reason my p800 is not being recognised.
Do i have to set the p800 as modem in the control pannel like the software suggests because the connection is not recognized at all like that.
Can i get better connection software from somewhere that works with p800's cause this sonny ericsson one is obviously crap.

i do not have a p800 connection icon im my connections folder could this be the problem, if so how do i set one up cause my efforts are not working.
any advice appreciated

When I got my P800 I tried for 5 hours to get a connection then read a lot of people having problems. Instead of spending hours/days trying to figure out what was interfering, I installed XP from scratch & everything has worked perfect since. I had no problem with my work PC.

I still have sync problems and I have tried everything I have read on this forum (installing XP from scratch, sync on a "virgin" outlook, trying with new pc suite,...) I hope that new firmware will solve these problems, cause I'm really unsattisfied.

Bye

I had the same problem but was very reluctant to reload XP. I rang SE and after about 20 minutes of talking he asked if I had a firewall. I said yes, I use the Norton Firewall. Once I rebooted my Laptop, disabled the firewall and pluged the cradle in, it worked fine. To all those with a sync problem, did you have a firewall installed? I think reloading XP only wipes the firewall off the PC and thats why it worked when you tried it again. If you have a Sync problem call SE UK on 08705 237 237 option 4 and speak to someone. Reloading XP breaks balls.

Never bothered with Disc and used 1.1.1 from start.

Works OK with WinXP firewall.

@beljim

Glad it worked for you too
