I've seen loads of people asking bout trick/tips and posting "new" tips instead of searching, anyway here is a (rather long) list of trick and tips I've put together from variuos places on the net, so now there is no excuse for posting new topics (I'm not bothered myself but it will save Esato bandwidth etc, especially if this was made sticky, anyway enjoy

Only in T68, hidden games

Enter Erix: Press 123 when at the animated logo --> SNAKE!
Enter Ripple: Press 4456 when at the animated logo --> CARDGAME!
Enter Q: Press 3*5 when at the animated logo --> BRICKGAME!
Enter Tetris -> Press 397 when at the animated logo --> MESSAGE!

For T68i, and probably most other ericssons

standby: service menu press >*<<*<* (works on most ericssons)
Hold Left: first shortcut is selected.
Hold Right: search in addressbook is selescted
Fake sim block: *#05#
IMEI No: *#06#
Phone Lock Status:<**<

Communicam menu: see software version of the camera *#*# or **##**##*
colour boost: *##*

Reading SMS: * and # to scroll up and down

Hidden Nordic Ringtone: Make a new ringtone in the composer, with only one pause, save it you won't hear anything in my sounds, but assign it as a ringtone when someone rings, you have the the Nordic ringtone
phonebook: you can cut and paste in between different numbers just by pressing *1 to cut and scroll to the desire position and *3 to paste.

If you hold down the volume key (up or down - doens't matter) while holding down the arrow keys - or press the joystick either up or down (depending on what you want to delete) - this will mark several words and even lines og text at once - and finally for deleting this - you just press the "c" button.

You can reject a call by pressing NO or you can mute the phone by pressing C button. By

sliding the volume key once does the same , sliding the volume key down twice rejects active call.

if you press joystick(left arrow key) left and hold it for 1-2 seconds you will go directly to first shortcut.
If you press it right and hold you will go to find contact menu.
To jump to the contacts that start with a certain letter, just keep pressing your contacts name's first letter.

last dialled number First press "0" then "#" or the yes button

You can use the slide key to select a caracter while composing an email or sms.
When you slide up > hold and you press "abc" it selects "b" slide down > hold and you press

"abc" it selects "c" .This works for every caracter key. If you want to select "s" Slide down

> hold > press "pqrs" twice gives "s" etc.. Slide down > hold > "0" gives @

Did you know that you can scroll down insteed of line by line but page by page?
All you have to do is to press the * or # buttons when reading text.
By pressing #1 or #3 when reading sms you get the same thing as * and #.
When you scroll wap pages you can hold the joystick (arrow keys) and the volume button down at the same time, then it will go a bit faster.

Send SMS Faster:
Take the people you send sms'es most to and put them all in individual GROUPS. One person is one group and the group name is set to that persons name. Ex: your friend John is now in the group named John. When you've finished typing a sms press YES, <- and then select GROUPS. This tip saves a step or 2 and saves your time if you send too many sms.

Copy & Paste when using the calculator:
Type a number, slide up or down and this copies the number to the top left of your display with 'M:' next to it. slide up or down again to paste this.

Copy & Paste when using phonebook:
1. Go into "Edit contact", and select the Contact
2. Scroll down to the number you want to cut and paste.
3. Without selecting it (ie without clicking on the joystick or the yes button) press and hold the * key, and then press the 1 key. When you release both keys, the highlighted number should disappear.
4. Now move to the appropriate entry (eg the "Mob" entry) and press and hold the * key, then press the 3 key. When you release both, the number is pasted into this entry. (1 for cut, 2 for copy and 3 for paste)

If your mobile phone's menu was set to a language you do not understand, you can reset the language to English by:

Older Ericssons *#0000#
Newer Ericssons <0000>

Also, pressing <8888> on the newer Ericssons changes the language to "Automatic" (the default language of your service provider).
Note: The < and > corresponds to the left and right arrow keys. If you are not sure which method works for your mobile phone, try both.

Sim Memory:
On the main screen;
Type a number (except "0") and press #
i.e. pressing
[3][5][#][YES]
will call the number in the 35th position on the SIM.

Another way:
Put "use sim memory" to No:1 in short cuts. Long hold left arrow (left joystick) from standby, you can access sim directly.

Speed dials:
([digit][YES])

You need to put the numbers in location 1-9 in the SIM memory
Go to Phone book/Options/Position list, Select the numbers and move them to the desired positions. (scroll down to highlight a number, press Yes, and scroll to the desired position and press Yes again. Repeat with all numbers you want to re-position.) When finished, press No. A new question appears, asking if you want to copy the changes to the SIM. Press Yes.
Note that you will get an error message saying that the SIM card is full if you have more numbers stored in your phone book than there are room for on the SIM.
Note also, that you will have to reposition all numbers that you want to be stored on the SIM, not only the first 10, since the copy to SIM function is rather stupid, and continues copying from position 1 and forward until the SIM card is full.

SMS Counter:
You can display the number of sent sms messages from "sms counter" menu. It's in "Call Costs" menu.

If you need to block SMS reception (if you are spammed by someone) just press this code:
*35*xxxx*16#
xxxx is your Call Barring code (default is 0000).
To remove this barring type:
#35*xxxx#

Tip if you've cleared your call list:
Go to Message -- Write New -- Press yes -- in the menu to let you key in the number, press the left arrow key as usual to go to the following list.
Phone book, Groups, Sim entries and Unsaved nos.
Select Unsaved nos, there you will see 10 unsaved number.
Those numbers can't be erased when you clear your call.

Tip when adding a symbol:
While your in the "add symbol" pop-up window, you can use the volume slider at the side of your phone to move the pointer to the righmost symbol of each line.
Moving the slider down, will move it to the line below your current position, move it up and it will go to the line above your current position

Upgrade T68 to T68i:
All existing t68 owners can have a free software upgrade,to turn it into the t68i. Contact your local sonyericsson service centre. T68i has more memory, internet browser,MMS,Themes + many other new features.

Store more bookmarks:
If your bookmark memory is full, you can still save addresses to your phone. To save into sms messages, go to wap page that you want to bookmark, go to options menu by long pressing YES, select "send as link" and then press NO. The url of that page will be stored in unsent sms messages. You can open a message anytime and click the link to go to that address

Calendar tips:
You can browse quickly to last/next week by using key 1 and 3, last/next month by using key 4 and 6, and last/next year with key 7 and 9
When you copy an appointment it asks you to which date and thats a bitch if you don't know, but if you press the options button you get the calendar view and can just point&click on the correct day. If you press C you go to today

Highest Score on Erix:
You can make the top score on Erix. Simply exit and resume the game anytime. Even you restart the phone, it will resume the game and your points still remains!

Checking your Bluetooth firmware version:
If you want to know the firmware version of your Bluetooth headset (this is suppose to work on an HBH-10, HBH-15 and HBH-20), do the following:
Give the headset the name adgjm by pressing 2-3-4-5-6 on your keypad.
Press No to return to previous menu.
You should see the Version of the headset.

SMS inbox speed:
If you store your SMS messages in sim memory, it could take several seconds for the SMS-list to pop up. Remove all SIM-SMS:es, and your inbox will be faster. You can understand if a SMS

msg stored in sim or phone memory from a small symbol that looks like a SIM-card in front of the SMS in the lists. But remember, when you change simcard all your sms messages are gone, if you want to keep a SMS, store it in Sim memory.
There is also a specific order in which incoming SMS:es are placed into the phone- and SIM- memories. If both memories are empty, the SMS:es will be placed in phone memory. When the phone memory is full, SMS:es will start to be placed on the SIM card. This is when the system starts to slow down

Voice Recorder Tip:
When playing a record you can rewind and forward it by pressing&holding left-right keys (joystick left-right). You can jump to the beginning of the record if you press left-right keys once.If you have more then 1 records, it will jump to next or previous record

The only other way I have seen to avoid the keylock, is to either ring an emergency number then hang up, or with my camera (an ora mobicam, equivalent to the MCA-20) when i switch it on it goes straight to the communicam menu wether the keylock is on or not and from there if I press no I am in the fun and games menu etc and can go through all the menus until I get back to the standby screen and the keylock is back on.
If you know another way please post it

When I did a master reset on my t300 it was only one ringtone in my sounds (one i haved downloaded before master reset).
When the phone rang I heard a ringtone that I know is on the older ericsson phones but not in the t300!

Forget it, it'll go down on thread list and ppl will start posting same tricks again.

@Leksandfan: somebody noticed it few weeks ago too. It happends on my t68i when i assign "empty" ringtone (i.e. pause only in *.imy file). Nothing is played in My Sounds, but when u have a call, u can hear old "Nordic" ringtone. [addsig]

Nice collection!
Another trick: If it rings and you dont want to answer the person ringing - throw the phone over shoulder and run opposite direction - works every time!
