I just bought an HBH-60 and I've got a question. The quoted standby time of 72 hours, does that refer to the the headset being switched off completely by holding down the button and having no flashing lights or does it mean with it being on but not in use? I'm asking because i got mine yesterday and charged it until the light went green (took about 2.5 hours) then i used it for about 40 mins throughout the day. I left it on overnight and in the morning the battery was dead. Is this normal? I would greatly appreciate any help, thanks!

sound ok to me....40minutes talk time is a lot....that reduce the stand by time fast.

At the same time, I notice something...it depends on the power left on your phone too....once I use my HBH60 fully charged but T39 reaching low battery state....so the connection always failed and then the voice quality for both side is very bad. Maybe at the same time, this consume more power.

but if you found the stand by time is less than 2 days even you left the headset idle ...then you better send it to service centre

And remember... 40 min of STRAIGHT talking is very different from 40 min TOTAL calls.

One 40-min call uses up a lot less (almost half) power of twenty 2-min calls.

So twenty 2-min calls roughly eats up as much power as a 2-hour conversation.

Try charging the headset for the same initial charge, 12 hours or so, as you would the phone. Then discharge completely before recharging. Repeat this process a couple of times. This should increase the battery life while the headset is switched on.

I never do tht....mine is empty when I first get it.

I charged it till the LED turn green and start using it. Everytime I use it, I will make sure i drain the charge...I do this for 3-4 times and the stand by maintain around 2 to 2 and1/2 day with the usage time i mentioned above.

BTW I do assume sunilC make a call for 40minutes non stop.....the power consumption is not much if he didn't move around.

Once I need to walk into a room for a while...and it suprise me tht my HBH60 still working even in the other room but when I end my call, I realise the phone battery status drop a lot. Tht happen if you need to walk around with your BT phone fix at one place.

Got the headset today and I am very impressed with ti so far it paired very easily and sound is perfect. Only thing is there is no blue status light like on my BT 200 but the size is great it feels very secure on the ear and I wear glasses so no problem there. It is very light and the carry case is great except it has no clip to securte to your belt but the size of it means you can just slip it in to a pocket. Overhaul I am so far very impressed with it and at £99 including next day delivery it is a steal.
