How well does Bluetooth work near a wireless Local Area network. Is bluetooth able to successfully encrypt itself against inforamtion at the same bandwidth?

BT is used primarily for PAN and not WLAN. It is slower because it offers less bandwidth than Wi-Fi. But security is not an issue.
