SonyEricsson should pull a "Nokia"..... |

Nokia release similar (identical ) phones in different cases - and this appeals to a much wider audience without any extra R&D required on the hardware.
Well, should release again the T610, but in a curvier body. In fact, just curve the edges a tiny bit, add some curvy grooves (like t68) and just use some funky colours. They wouldn't need to touch the internals at all.
Bingo - you have 2 killer products. One for people who like the square styling, one for those who like the t68i
PS: The nokia 2100 is looking like a brick also... things are going minimalist in the mobile design world |

I was so much hoping for a "t69" and we all got a chocolate bar instead.. Guess i will keep my "t68½i" aka Siemens S55 for a while until SE (re)hires a designer instead of some apprentice.

I like curves... women have curves!
Don't like holding bricks in my hand.
(BTW: no puns intended!)

I meant that Nokia release very different looking phones with pretty much the same hardware. Take the 7210 and 6610 for example. One as a fashion phone, one for business. |

But 7210 have (had) a lot of Failures (SW) ...
... fast to market place ...and than faster from the market to servises, or down from the market (UK...)

I believe they DO that trick. For example: T39-R520(+T65), T68-T68i, T300-T310.
Anyway, I agree. A phone as sexy as T68 and as intelligent as T610 would be nice..

I wouldn't compare the t65 with either the r520 or the t39.
The t65 is a very unproffesional phone(Don't get me wrong. I didn't say bad).
It lacks both IR and BT. And it is quite cheap.

maybe SE want to follow the shape of SONY product
clie are square....cybershot are square with some curve....netMD are definitely square....ya ya WEGA is square hehe.......later sonyericsson might even change their logo to square hahaha....
ok ok....just kidding. Personally I really feel Sony Ericsson is trying to match the design of Sony product, which primary colour is metallic grey, silver, and black |

Yup. Sony prefers "sleek" square designs. |
