Got a new Bluespoon Panther headset today. Fully charged it and succesfully paired it with a P 800 and the sound quality is terrible. Lots of interference. Sounds like a 2-way radio. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Might be the P800 software. I read that the new software upgrade for the P800 will work better with bluetooth accessories. However, I'm not sure that this is the problem you have.

Could be... I'm using Bluespoon with an upgraded t68 to t68i and works great!
I love it, even though I had to return it to have the software upgraded.

The P800/Bluespoon combination works differently than eg T68i.

P800 will work best with the newest software.

In some cases with P800, you have to push both buttons, when using voicedialling and picking up calls on the Bluespoon.
We are trying to find out why P800 works this way,..will write more, when we know more.

But it does work with Bluespoon and other headsets.

Is this the newest software for the phone or for the earpiece? I have he latest software for the P 800

Also, I paired the Bluespoon with the T69i to compare and the sound quality is exactly the same as P 800. It pairs successfully. But it sounds like a 2 way radio. Lots of interference. I had high hopes when I ordered it from Denmark but now I'm disappointed.

Am I doing something wrong with the settings?

I did am immediate comparison by calling someone on the Bluespoon and then the HBH 30. Both on my T 68i and then my P 800.

The caller I phoned said I sounded the same when I used the T68i with the Bluespoon, or P 800 with Bluespoon. They said I sounded as if I was on a speakerphone, far away from the microphone, with occassional echo and lots of background sound. I could hear some interference on my end too.

By contrast, when I used the HBH 30 with either phone there was no interference and the caller said the sound quality was good.

I'm no huge fan of the HBH 30. Indeed, I've been disappointed with the sound quality. Also, that's the reason I ordered the Bluespoon.

Any further suggestions?
