i doubt it'll be that much; early adopters will pay through the nose (because they enjoy that sort of thing) but the rest of us will wait six months and get it cheap on contract, same as usual.

It won't cost that much. targets a $450-$500 initial price... just like the T68m. Then hopefully it will drop down to $400 after a few months. Ericsson/SE always had fair prices...they're not Nokia ya know. I think $500 is a reasonable 'launch' price. So far has never released an over-priced phone so the T610 shouldn't be any different.

The P800 isn't overpriced compared to what you get. In fact I would say that the P800 is quite cheap. It's selling for almost the same price as I paid for my T68m.

It's going to cost around 5000-6000 SEK (Sweden) if any one is going to by it here.

Yes, and by the time it gets here you can get the P800 at the same price if not cheaper! Today you can get P800 for SKR 6909 without contract so i guess with a one year Comviq or whatever you can get it cheaper than the t610..

But these prices are at some web-shop, right?!

And they´re probably selling T610 cheaper than the announced price.
Or choosing T610 with a 1 or 2year contract will lower the price!

The T68 costs about $500 when it first came out, the P800 around $700... I don't think the P800 is OVER-priced... expensive yes, not over-priced.

Successors will always costs about the same price as the models that came before.

The GH688 was around $300, same with the R320 that came after ... and the R520... same "series"... same price

The GF788 was around $500... so was the T28... T39... T68... and now the T610... same "series"..same price

R380 was around $700 when it first came out... just like its successor, the P800.

Expect regulated prices from Ericsson/SE...not like Nokia, who ALWAYS OVER-prices their phones.

Yeah your probably right, but my point is: No way in hell am i going to pay P800 prices for the t610! Not considering the features and above all design (i know thats a personal issue but still)
