Hi

Can anyone help me before i go and look stupid in CPW at lunch time, got my p800 yesterday and cannot configure the MMS. Its my first phone with MMS and am having probs configuring.
I went to the SE website and got WAP/GPRS/mms settings texted to my phone and installed these.
Now when i try and send an MMS, it says connecting, 94% completion and then i get an error saying ' Failed to send MMS'
Can anyone share there settings?

Under messaging accounts MMS tab, here are my settings:
Service centre address - http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
Wap account: Vodafone live
Automatic - On

Wap account settings for Vodafine Live:

Internet account - Vodafone live
Address: 212.183.137.0
Port- 9201

Internet Account settings for Vodafone live:

Connection type: GPRS
User - user@vodafone.net
address - wap.vodafone.net

Any ideas or recomended settings would be great.

Thanks

One other thing, do you need to subscribe to MMS on Vodafone. If this is the case i havent requested this when i set up my tarrif!

looking at those settings the first thing I see that is wrong is that the that the settings for Vodafone live should be the settings you have for GPRS and visa versa.

Rather than change it all just try changing in MMS settings...

Wap account: Vodafone live

to be

Wap account: GPRS

since MMS goes through the WAP settings.

also ensure the wap password is set to 'user' (no quotes) since you have not mentioned that.

I do also recall having to tell Vodafone I wanted to use MMS so you may have to do that.

Thanks for the info, still no joy though. I deleted all my settings for Internet/wap/MMS and requested the MMS and WAP setup from the SE website. I have set these up on my p800 again. Still wont send!
I have called Vodafone and they say my SIM is MMS enabled. I have tried to send the mms message to my own number, to my other vodafone sim and someone on Orange(which probably doesnt work at the moment anyway).

Has anyone used these settings(WAP/MMS) from the SE website and been able to send/receive MMS?

Thanks

Ok sorry about that. I haven't used the SE settings but I did go to www.vodafone.co.uk and in the drop down box on the left I chose "configure my phone" or something similar. Vodafone website is currently down so can't tell you what.

I then pretended to be a T68i and it sent me a code, I entered the code and it sent me the settings. It got most of it right but I had to enter "internet" into the address field of the GPRS settings and I had to enter the MMS server name http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms and thats all I did and it all works fine!

The IP address is missing a couple of digits, it should be:

212.183.137.012

Hope that helps

Ditto on getting the t68 settings from the website.

Mine works perfectly and i have sent several mms.

Try sending a small one as it may be a size issue... like an mms with just text or summat. Not sure what that will prove but it may narrow it down.
