new video player by videocoding.com offers fullscreen (landscape mode) videos at 15fps. they will show their full player this month..it plays .vic and .vsf video files as well.
there's also a rumor that packet video (the video player that comes with the P800) will soon support .wmv video as well...but this is only a rumor. |

My p800 has never done this, the signal is ever so slightly behind my 7210 tho. however, in places where my t68 failed completely, the p800 will happily make and recieve calls
2-is the software stable?
The software has yet to crash for me, i've had a few strange responses but nothing major that didnt correct itself 2nd time of asking.
3-i have bluetooth on my laptop but what software should i use to connect it to the p800?
not a user of bluetooth yet, i use the cradle.
4-how good is the video playback?
i'd rate it as reasonable to good, obviously depends on the file tho and i havnt viewed that many videos on the p800. it may prove to be fantastic!?
5-can you tell me specifically what comes in the box?
p800
Cradle
charger
carry case
3 extra stylii
wrist strap
flip replacement
headfones
battery
2CDs
manual
16MB memory stick
i think thats the complete list. plenty in the box tho
6-can you recommend any links or useful info and tips?
www.my-symbian.com
www.p800er.com

1 - YES. But not more than my nokia 3310 , 3510 , t68i or s55.
it happens when there is almost no signal. And for me it only happens in one place... My friends basement.
The signal is really weak there.
It's fine in all the other places I usually hang out. |

@anticool...sorry to say that the P800 does NOT play Mophun games.
But there are a lot more games for the P800, with much better graphics. Now, if you already own a T300 and own a lot of T300 games, you're out of luck...sorry.
You can play the FULL version of DOOM on the P800, there's also a very nice racing game that comes with it...complete with 'force feedback'. Interstellar Flames is $7, and is a great 3D space invaders type game. There are a lot more games out there for the P800. |

er... with regards to the comment about running your battery flat before charging it, I don't think you should be doing that since the P800 uses a Li-ion battery and AFAIK you should never completely run down a li-ion battery because it will shorten the life of the battery, in fact you should top it off as often as possible.

is that true, you should be topping off your charge as often as possible? i know it's not like the old batteries and it doesn't have a "memory", but does topping it off as often as possible keep the battery lasting longer..?? and does waiting for it to run out ruin the battery?? |
