If u do the coverchange by yourself the warranty "goes away" right?
But if you leave the phone at a authorized SE service point and let them do it, do u still have your warranty? Does anybody know? |

They will only change your faceplate if you'll bring an ORIGINAL one. The service done by an authorized center will NOT void the warranty. You can have it replaced at any semicon center, smartnet or SESS.

I changed my faceplate for my T68 myself and two weeks ago when I brought it in a SE service centre for an upgrade, they refused to do it because basically the label at the back is not there. I had a nightmare trying to get someone kind enough to flash it up for me but it proves failure. Every service centre turned me away. As a last resort, I got this wild idea to tamper the back label from the original housing and paste it on the changed faceplate and guess what?
With no questions ask, they booked my phone in and flashed it up with the latest firmware R6A012. What a relief!! |
