When trying to send a message, when you click on contacts - the names and phone numbers saved on your phone don't seem to appear? Can anybody relate to this issue or is there a fix for this????

Well theres 2 ways, you can either write the msg then tap on "To" to get your phone contacts up & then put a tick in the box.
OR start in contacts, tap on the person, then tap on the envelope & it should let you write & send a msg.
Reminder; milk, sugar, crisps, post letter.

also, make sure your contact's cellphone numbers are stores as "MOBILE" in the contacts list. Symbian will only list contacts with a mobile number.
