This rumor is fairly unimportant.. But I have this obsession to rid the world of ignorance and I cannot let a thing like this slip...

The pins on the keypad that touch the screen are not made of metal.
I know this because I made a mark in one of them with my finger nail.
This would be impossible if the pins were made of metal.

This ofcoure does not change the fact that they are hard enough to break the display so be carefull....

it's not impossible to mark metal with ur fingernail if it's lead!

but i'd say it's a pretty safe bet that they're not made of metal

But..they WILL cause damage to the screen overtime if a piece of dust comes inbetween the button and the screen. Its already happened under 2 of my buttons.

I suggest you might burn the keyboard, and see if the pins melt.
If they do, probably not metal ;D

What is glass?
Is it just glass or is it part of some group like iron is metal and water is liquid?
Naturally it isn't metal as it has very few of the attributes needed to be called metal.

Well... Glass is...

Any of a large class of materials with highly variable mechanical and optical properties that solidify from the molten state without crystallization, are typically made by silicates fusing with boric oxide, aluminum oxide, or phosphorus pentoxide, are generally hard, brittle, and transparent or translucent, and are considered to be supercooled liquids rather than true solids.

Good enough ?
