Would it be possible for Polytones on T68i |

I was wondering, would it be possible to create an add on device that would give the T68i (or any phone without Polytones) the ability to play them? |

no! To play polyphonic ringtones you need a polyphonic speaker. The output on the t68i is like the internal speaker on a computer. it can only generate tones.
even a software upgrade will NEVER make it possible for the T68i to have polyphonic ring tones! |

Yes, that is exactly what I am asking. Would it be possible for a device to be attatched to the bottom of the phone containing a speaker and whatever other components needed for polyphonic ringtones to be made, or is this also a software limitation? We already know that sound from the phone can be transfered to other outlets besides the ones built into the phone (headsets for example). I am curious as to the possibility of making a speaker device with the capibilty for polyphonic ringtones that doesn't require the phone to be opened up (as, say something like a higher resolution screen would require.) |

True, it would look odd of it were huge. Just wondering if it would be possible. If somebody could make a small device like that, you would think they could make a good deal of money. |

if someone did make a device like this, i'm sure atleast i WOULD NOT buy it. The T68i looks amazing as it is. Adding a small thing at the bottom would:
1. not let me add other accessories like my MCA 25.
2. would make my phone look like a "wannabe" phone.
so yea. if someone did make it, i dont think any respectable T68i user would buy it.
Now, if it were an internal mod, then i might consider. |

Is there even room on the inside for a device like that? |

If you want polyphonic tones why not buy a capable phone in the first place ? |

Sorry if I am in the wrong group but I am desperate for help. I live in the USA and am having trouble with my T68i - the reception is horrible. Heard a rumor that it is due to software problems - does anyone have any information about this??? |
