Well, everybody seems to be eagerly anticipating the MMS upgrade -- as am I. But, honestly guys, what are we all waiting to use on this upgrade, besides multiple wallpapers? What do you plan to do first with your MMS upgrade, after we all rush for the upgrade, given no carrier supports it yet? I am curious the responses.

unfortunately....most users will still be using non-MMS enabled fones.....so using MMS will be rather limited.

I don't even have the chance to send EMS to anyone becuz all they will be receiving is either junk stuff or an empty message

And that's a very good answer. I forgot -- and I have the Communicam as well. Altghough it is really difficult to get a good picture out of the Communicam. And the fact that the color screen can be the view finder would be nice, except there's a caveat with the current Communicam. Since the lens on our Communicam faces the front of the phone, the only thing you will be able to preview, is your face, unless you can somehow contort it around the side or top of your face, and still see the screen, and and still only be able shoot a picture behind you. Weird. Until they come out with the Communicam 20, or whatever it will be, hopefully, that one will swivel, or the lens will face the rear of the phone, so the screen will be a genuine view finder! |

Yeah its a shame the screen isnt a viewfinder but i dont mind viewing the taken pictures on the screen at least we can keep the good ones and get rid of the crappy ones, theres plenty of space on the R1A (MMS) T68!!!! |

Well, the screen IS going to be a view finder, just a stupid one, for now. And, yeah, room to store pics is a good opportunity to scrap the bad pictures, of which there are oh so many. Actually, the only real good use I got from the Communicam, is when I went on my last round the world trip, I would take a few pictures, of say, where I was having breakfast in Hong Kong, and e-mail it to my wife, and then call her, so she could see what I was seeing. I guess that's primitive video over phone.... |

Well...
I think I'm going to send a MMS to my friend with email accounts. Not many of my friends have the T68 yet, but some MMS links may convince them to buy one.
At least my operator have support for MMS as soon as I get my T68 upgraded. |

I dont know if im going to use the MMS function but I know that I will use the capability to store more than one Backgroundimage. And, as a "gadgetfreak", its important to have the latest phone, a well as the SW. Am I wrong?

Hmm, what I'm going to do with MMS?
Well, that's a hard one:) No, just kidding. Soon MMS will be a standard like SMS is now, so it's nice to be prepared for the future. So I think I'm going to send some MMS.
But the software upgrade isn't just MMS, but the ability to save 56 background images, bug fixes, people say clearer display colors (but I think it's hardware related) and a lof of other things. I'm really looking forward to the upgrade. |

I think, the crux of this all, is the "gadget freak" aspect -- that is what I was trying to see if we'd all admit.
I think the MMS will, in particular, be really useful/fun, with a better Communicam. As it stands now, it's technology exhibition, rather than practical implimentation. But it's coming! Can't wait for the upgrade, either
PS -- You guys see this review of this new phone from the "competing" company? Looks way cool !!
