this is the GSM network for US and Latin america.

I remember this is one of the way for TDMA network operator to upgrade to GSM.

I'm still pretty certain the only 3 bands there are in GSM are 900/1800/1900

wrong, there's a GSM850 network.

nokia and sony ericsson is having a few phone supporting it.

beside T106, theres a T306, you can found that on www.sonyericsson.com and guess what...it support GSM850, 1800, 1900
