The future of the T68m |

If the T68i is the new T68... then i suppose all new T68x mobiles will be sonyericsson T68i!
That means the T68m will be quite rare and most people i have shown the t68i to do not like it much and prefer the T68!
I suppose the T68m will ceasein production? Or do you think they will make both ericsson and sonyericsson T68x? I think the former possibility.
Orange and one2one have just introduced the T68m, it would be a bit inconvienient if the phone ceased prodcution a few weeks later for a revised version!
Well i suppose that would confirm why T68m have been so rare in many parts of the world and why prices havent fallen much after 4 months of launch. Ericsson were planning a new T68!!!
I think the T68i will be produced in much larger quantities as its a full production long-term model and they know that demand will be massive. T68i prices should be the same initiall as T68, but will go down at a faster rate than the T68 did!
Well we will see....
I urge people not to rush and exhange their T68m for T68i unless you like the weird tacky design! I personally think it look cheap and not as classy as the T68m!
What do you guys think?
Bes wishes

In my opinion the biggest question is about hardware... IF, and only if, t68m and t68i have the same hardware all users should be given the opportunity to change the covers, as well as the SW.
So we all could have the new t68, with little or no expense.
On the contrary if the have changed the hardware, we should complain because the model has the same name.
I think that if SonyEricsson gave the same name to this phone (except te final i) this means they made something similar to a cover change for a Nokia, plus a SW upgrade.
I would like that someone who has contacts at SonyEricsson gathers info about the possibility to change both cover and SW (which are surely the cheapest parts of the phone)...
Thank you for any help

I've seen some pictures of T68i, software wise it's better, I believe the color is more clearer. But looks, I don't see it better looking than our T68m. The upper front(earpiece) is ugly, T68m design is still far better. |

There are other more important improvements in the T68i that we should have got from the beginning in our T68m! I feel very dissapointed in Ericsson!
The new better joystick, the blue lights (not that important) and MORE MEMORY!
Ther most important thing is the memory! I really hope that Sony Ericsson makes it possible for us owners of the T68m to upgrade the memory (for a cost of course), if NOT, I will relly feel skeptic about getting future models from Sony Ericsson!
I doubt that this would ever happen with Nokias phones!
Am I the only one feeling this way????????? |

To trancedancer:
I don't feel that way. Of course I am little bit disappointed because I was so eager to get T68 as soon as possible. I know for experience that it is allways better to wait sometime after the initial release before getting new things.
I am quit happy if I get features of new i model. I don't think that memory would be a problem to most of the people.
It's same thing in every aspect of technology today. Tomorrow you will get better things at lower prices. If I worried those thing all the time I would go nuts. |
