Afraid not. Being used by SE & operators (and a few lucky "test
bunnies") for interoperability testing during first half of 2003.

Commerically available 2nd half 2003. However SE seem to be aiming
to make it commerically available along with the commerical start
of 3G networks, i.e. its availability in the different markets is probably
tied to the launch of the 3G networks in that country, which varies
quite a bit from country to country and depending on the operators.

So it will probably be late (maybe end of) 2003 before it is widely
available.

using it on 2G or 2.5G network is under utilising the phone.

I think they will stick to twhat MikeB mentioned...as far as I know tht's the plan SE spoke person reveal in the recent 3GSM conference.

Here we go again! A phone gets announced and the "when can I get this phone" questions start... then people get upset because it takes so long to come to market...

Expansys often put items on their web site as soon as they are announced. The 7650 was there for months and months and... It doesn't mean they know anything more about its price or availability or anything. It just provides a way for people to register an interest with Expansys for that product and be notified when availability and pricing is known so they can choose to take the product, or not.

You can't have heard me properly. It was announced in Australia by Hudgenson (I think thats the spelling), and it will be in Aussie October for the opening of the new 3G network. Thats the FACTS
