I have a T68i & I'm on Orange & I'm from UK. Lately I have been having trouble getting access to the network. Where Orange should appear I get "No Access" but I have 4-5 bars of reception. Then today I got "No Network". Has any1 else been having this problem? How do I fix it? Is there something wrong with my phone cause some of my friends on Orange haven't been having this prob? |

I think i know whats the problem, some t68's have this problem, just as you try to make the call with a good signal, the signal drops away & the call fails, thee screen shows no Orange logo, just what you have been experiencing.
Best to imediately try your sim in another phone to make sure it IS your t68, it is common on them though, the signal gets worse when the extra power surge of a call is placed on it. i think SE service centers are aware of this problem, i seem to remenber that it's the little sprung contacts at the top of the phone where the ariel meets the circuit board, (early prototypes had an ariel that fitted into this slot) strangely enough a sharp tap at the top of the phone can temporarily rectify the problem. but if the phone is less than a year old then get it fixed on warranty.
Just to be clear, it's a connection that is very similar looking to the one where your battery contacts meet the phones battery contacts. but it's inside the cover at the top of the phone. |

No, it depends on you simcard as to what it says up the top. Some change it from the sony ericsson installed text. Most people will see 'SOS Calls Only' meaing that you are connected to the Emergency Network that operates on a higher frequency. |

it is best to have your phone serviced at an authorized SE service center. have the tech nerds there take a look at it. the problem could be software related or the phone itself is a lemon. hail me! |
