T68i - Will not make/recieve calls |

I bought my T68i for cheap from a dodgy shop, it has worked fine for the past 2 months but now will not let me make/recieve any calls. It just beeps if you try to ring out, and tells anyone who trys to ring in there is a fault. It still lets me send/recieve messages.
Has anyone had anything like this happen?
I thought that maybe they have blacklisted the IEMI number?
Any Ideas would be much appriciated.

I have the same shitty problem with my phone, happened yesterday and now i cant make/receive calls :C.
the backgroundlight for the buttons aint working either, maybe that was beacuse i upgraded my phone to i.
Another thing is how low the ringtones are, when i have it in my pocket i almost cant hear it, even if i have it on MAx. |

It is your carrier. I had the same problem with Tmobile in PA but since yesterday they claimed that the problem is gone. It is was a network issue that they've resolved |

It may not be your carrier...
I had the same problem, SW upgrade fixed it straight away. Go to your nearest SE service centre and get a free SW upgrade.
Don't bin it just yet!

I have the same problem with my t68i. I have a cingular service. Do any great souls out there have a t68i in California with cingular service that is working fine??? If you do, please go to menu>>connect>>HSM Networks>>Preferred Nets and tell me all the ones you have and send it to cooperistheman@susteen.com. Thanks. |

I have recently had this problem I think. Im on Ornag in the Uk. At random points during the day the phone would first drop GPRS coverage, then 2 minutes later drop the network saying "No Access" at the top of the screen.
I rang Orange who said it was a tranmitter fault to start with, but last week it happened again, and this time they have disgnosed it as a handset fault. They sadi I could join there Orange Care scheme for 30 quid and they would send a replacement, but also suggested ringing SE. I did that and they said send it back to them for FREE, but with a turnaround of 20 days!!!
In the end, ive taken it to Carphonewarehouse to get a software upgrade and im gonna see if that helps. I think the s.w on it before was R2A. |

Well, got my phone back from carphone warehouse yesterday and the problem was with the aerial inside the unit. It was faulty (a dry solder joint the engineer said). The salesman also said they did a software upgrade, but they never did. Still at R2A.
However, signal is back upto full most of the time, and it hasnt dropped the network....YET!
Will keep you posted |
