Rumour - larger memory with Sim free P800 |

All,
I spoke to SE Eshop this morning and it is not confirmed but they said the Sim free P800 could come with a larger Duo memory stick in the box. They wont actually know until they get the units in to see. At the moment they are with their warehouse in Sweden.

I do not think that's true ... I bought a SIM Free P800 in Switzerland two weeks ago and it doesn't come with more memory ... |

I heard also that the some phones can come with bigger Memory Stick Duo. But when, I don't know.

I ahve a SIM free P800 and the MS is 16mb..

I have also 16mb, but in the future should be with bigger sizes - 64mb or 128mb, I think.

It is possible... but highly unlikely. This would cost SE an additional $40 per unit sold! Unless they sell these 'new' units at a higher price... or at the same price as the P800s were when they first came out. It's not impossible. An agreement just has to be made with Sony... and larger Duos have to be manufactured to begin with  It helps if larger Duos (not MagicGate) actually existed in the first place!  |

Well i dont wanna sound selfish but if they do put in biger cards with new phones its not realy fair to all us that bought the phone earlier now is it ? Regards Laz

I agree with Jplacson, It would be highly unlikely they would something stupid...
If something like that happens they would loose their reliability, people wont buy their products, cause they know SE can do stupid things...
I am happy customer of SE, not right at this moment cause still nice waiting for the P800, it should be in a few days here in The Netherlands! |
