Last year you posted and I quote:

"Posted: 2002-03-16 12:
I'd just like to ask for feedback from fellow Globe users who uses GPRS connections to connect their PCs or laptops.

I find it irritating that my connection suddenly drops out, and though im still connected to the network I can't reach any website.

If I try to browse the net from WAP or my PDA, the connections work but using my laptop it fails.

The problem seems random but only occurs with when I use the laptop.

I was just wondering if you can share me the solution to your problem if you have already found the remedy. Thanks.

change your apn to internet.globe.com.ph when browsing the net, otherwise, use www.globe.com.ph for wap. but beware coz they charge very high.

i would just like to ask if Globe charges already for the use of GPRS. I have been browsing using myT68i and I would download themes or background pictures (not from the Globe website). I was surprised that I could download items as large as 21KB (esp. themes). Is Globe charging me for browsing and downloading items?

@jowi

man, i get this message "gprs parameters not supported". wap browsing through my t68i doesn't have a problem. i wanted to use my ipaq for browsing the internet using the www.globe.com.ph apn and not the internet.globe.com.ph. there's a port setting that i have read somewhere here at esato and i cannot find it now.

Using the APN www.globe.com.ph for using your phone asa modem has already been blocked (among so many other access, like nowmms) by Globe. If you use internet.globe.com.ph as APN to connect, it is belived Globe will charge you. [addsig]
