when i turned it off anf turned it on again "insert sim" was on the screen, and sometime it will start righ up. whats the problem.

probably just need to clean the contacts on your sim, but follow the instructions in your manual to insure that you don't damage it.

I got the same problem when I was skiing. I took my phone out of my pocket, and had "insert sim" all over my screen. I tried turning the phone off and back on again, but it didn't work. So I tried to take out the sim, insert it again, and turn on the phone. Still no result.

But when I took out the sim, turned it on without simcard, turned it off again, inserted sim, and turned it back on again (sorry for a long difficult line) all the problems was gone.

To clean the contacts on your SIM card, use a pencil eraser.
