Hey!

I got my P800 last Friday from Orange and so far, its fantastic! The only problem I'm having is converting media files to MP4. I've tried many programs including MPEGABLE and PACKETVIDEO AUTHOR, however there is always one problem. In MPEGABLE the video is smaller than what can be achieved and the sound is always way off! In PACKETVIDEO, the quality of sound and picture isn't that good at all compared to MPEGABLE. I've used the P800 profiles from the website but its still pretty bad. Does anyone know what to do? Please help me, because it is driving me crazy! Does anyone know how to make videos that are of the same standard and quality of the one that Sony Ericsson have put with the P800? The quality is excellent on that and that is what I am trying to achieve. At the moment I'm not really worried about file size. As long as one can fit on the Memory Stick supplied.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thanks!

im no expert..... ive found a document online that says the following settings for mpegable x4 work well ('big up' to the person who took the time to write this):

Total bitrate 200kb
Audio bitrate 16kb
Target framerate 15
Downsampeling (depends on the size of the movie)

AUDIO

Channels Mono
Presision : same as input
Sample rate : 22050

ENCODING

Keyframe period: 75
B-frame : 0
Image Qaulity : smooth motion
Compression Qaulity : Fast encoding

also set Bitrate Control to Near Constant.

I know, however the sound and picture quality on PACKETVIDEO is even worse than MPEGABLE! The sound on MPEGABLE is good, but it has some sort of weird background sound as well. PACKETVIDEO is OK and if someone has any GOOD settings, PLEASE tell me!

Thanks!

Have you tried using the P800 profile that you can download from their website??

It seems to be ok for me.
