I have purchased an SPV in Nov to replace my T68 as I couldn't wait for the P800 any longer, and I am extremely pleased with it however I am also after a P800 now there are available. As I cannot upgrade (unless I pay a hefty charge due to signing a new contract form my SPV) I am after a good P800 deal for another contact.

I sure many other people are also looking to find some good deals for the P800 it would be useful it you could post any good deals you know of

One of the best I have seen is from www.onestopshop.co.uk £129 with a reasonable £30 per month contract (which you csn change after four months)

smalltalk.co.uk offer the same/similar deals as onestop.. and are apparently more reliable.

1. £10 high speed data plan includes Orange Care. (no inc minutes)

2. £30 plus the rest of the 12 months line rental.

Sorry not quite sure what you are saying.

There are 2 ways of getting an Orange phone unlocked, if you are out of your 12 months then Orange wil just charge the £30 but if you are inside the 12 months then they will charge you £30 plus any outstanding rental charges up to the 12 month period.

What should you do if you want to keep the rest of your contract, just use a different network's SIM now and again? If you pay off the rest of the 12 months, does that end your contract as well?

All,

to those of you that have bought the P800 on the highest Orange tariff and have changed to the lower tariff .....

....can you please check your small print for anything that says about the 4 month tie-in????

Can you let me know if it is in there.

I have just spoken to someone at Orange and even though their billing line know nothing about the 4 month tie-in Orange will know that you have reduced your plan and actually send you a letter asking you if you want to give them 'clawback' money for the difference in cost of the phone, or if you want to go back onto the 4 month tie-in.

Zoidy.

ok, so can someone make it very simple for us stupid people!?

If i buy a P800 for £34.99 on £40 a month tarrif, when can we change the tarrif down to a low cost one?

Also, i was thinking of buying one for just internet and email access (Keeping 7650 on o2 for voice and sms) is it possible to have a GPRS only tarrif? No voice?

Thanks Guys,
Mark

HI would like to know this too as i was speaking to the assistant manager in the orange shop in oxford street and he said that i could buy the phone on a high tariff and go down to a lower tariff in a month without penalty. I dunno if this is correct or not and will help me decide whether to get it or get it online.

onestopphoneshop.co.uk have the ***WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ****. I bought a phone from them, there was no coverage in my area, i asked them to check the coverage before hand, they said they did and it was excellent. They wouldn't return it, even though singlepoint the service providers they were more than happy to cancel the contract as it was only 2 days after and I had 14 days under my statutory right, Single point were kind enough to reduce my contract from £30 a month to the £15 per month. Onestopphoneshop.co.uk were rude and completley out of line, so now I have a phone with no signal in my area, stuck with a 12 month O2 contract. I even said I was willing to change the network to one that would work and they wouldn't do it. The guy I spoke to was called Chris apparantly the manager.

i would also like to comment that onestopphoneshop have shoddy customer service. i bought my phone for £150 on a £27.50 a month line rental. The phone has been fine but after a week of using it im told that cornhill would not insure the phone as previously stated on their site. I therefore will not recieve the "3 months free insurance" incentive to buy. I phoned them only to be told its not our problem even though it was put on their site. I will be writing to their manager for compensation.
