Have searched for any possible existing answers to this problem as to avoid repetition but couldn't find anything, so...

When scrolling through my contacts to send an SMS whilst in 'silent' profile, my voice tags still play as I highlight chosen names. Is there any way to turn this off? It's quite embarrassing on the bus/in class!

I adore my T68 but this is a bit annoying... I use voice tags as it is quicker and saves fumbling through my phone book when it's not appropriate. I hope there is some way to disable this!

hopefully someone out there knows, otherwise its quite bothersome when you are in a meeting trying to scroll through the phonebook and from nowhere you hear a voice tag

Dont think you can scroll over them. But if you search for the full name and \"land\" on it, its silent. Hope this helped :-) Barry

That's very helpful, thanks Although I'm sure there is an easier way to do it? Must be!

Have you tried lowering the volume in the loudspeaker of the phone?

Yup...I do experience such nuisance. As a result, I have stopped using voice tag.
Can be quite annoying esp when you are in meeting...

Can't see why voice tags would be embarressing in a meeting, if you are in a meeting you shouldn't really be making phone calls on your mobile...
But then again, Silent mode should make everything silent!

Well at least for text messages you can search by names i.e type Joh for John Smith and thus avoid more voice tags. But if you are just trying to quick dial and hold down 5, it will start at the J's and you may have to scroll through a lot of voice tags.
Are voice tags volume affected by the volume setting? That way you could set you phone's profile for meeting to have volume 1...
