Place your roms (which you have legally purchaes a licence for  ) in the same directory (C or D) as where you installed mame. Place the .zip rom files in the \documents\ROMS folder. If you do not see a ROMS folder, create one.

there are a lot of emame files to instal, i installed just emame.sis so please tell me which files i need exactly to install??????

the only way to get ROMS (that i've found) is from KaZaA unfortunately you spend an age DL'ing a 50 meg 1600 ROM file and they are usually all incomplete.
d'oh!
BIUT i did get hold of a pack that had dig dug and pacman.. woot woot... |
