I've recently bought a T68, and while it has many very nice features, it has a share of extremely annoying features as well.

The most annoying is without a doubt the slow speed. There's a delay on just about every keypress, which is close to driving me insane. Does anybody know if speed optimization is planned for the next software update?

When I type a number, I want to be able to save the number directly, like on a Nokia. Now I have to call the number first, then add it, or go via the phone book menu.

To send an SMS to somebody in my contact list, I first have to press the options button, then select Phone Book, then type a letter, then send the message. I want the contact list to display directly, since I _always_ use the contact list to send SMS.

Finally, when the Inbox/Outbox is full, I don't want new messages to be stored on the SIM card since this makes everything unbearably slow. I want an option to delete older messages automatically.

Sorry about this rant, but I really had to write it to ease my irritation, after all I paid quite a lot for the phone.

Set the text size to small, this speeds up the phone a little

the other way around is it I think, if you set the textsize to large the phone speeds up a bit...

I think we all agree that the T68 could be better in many ways. The first thing Ericsson have to do, is to speed up both the software and maybe the hardware. It seems to me that the software and hardware does not communicate on the same \"language\". They have to do something!

Saving numbers is a real problem, when I had a nokia before people could ring me and I could save the number real easily unlike mty T68. Other than that it is the greatest thing on Earth.

The old versions are slow because of the software.
The software that was going to be released with phone, wasn't completed, so they threw in another phones software.
T29 software i think..
That explains the slow menues and everything, and that explains the strange things you find in the "text labels", in the service menu.

When I have no text-msg's on my sim the phone uses aprox. 4 seconds to open the Inbox. When I have more than 10 messages it takes aprox. 8-10 seconds. So I think the speed of opening the Inbox has to do with if the phone has to read the sim-card or not, and how many messages that are on the card!
