How to work MP3 Player under XP |

This is how I got it to work:
Download WinXP BETA drivers for PP-MMC from
- http://www.scmmicro.com/
- ftp://ftp.scmmicro.com/dm/drivers/PPMMC%20WinXP%20BETA%20driver.zip (direct link)
Plug-in MMC reader/writer from ericsson, windows XP should then detect a new device (has some weird alphanumerical name). Install the drivers you just downloaded for it.
Reboot. (may detect scsi/host controller on reboot meaning you may have to reboot again :/)
Windows XP may say you have two removable drives (mine does G: and H:, however only H: works).
Now use Windows Media Player (v9 works) to copy music to a device (your MMC). You can drag and drop songs into the Windows Media Player screen.
I recommend using Media Player to copy to MMC otherwise u can get dodgey MP3's (well I did).

Well, I installed from the same link and it setup an F drive (it says removable next to it). And I also send my MP3's to it by right-click on the mp3 file => Send To => Removable Drive F: ... If you wait for a minute, it uploads the MP3's normally. No need for WMP... Just be patient ... |

Yer, but I'd leave the MMC in the writer/reader for a while when i take it out (after quite a long time) it said delayed write fault, and when i played the songs I had some songs cut off half way thru and stuff. But if it works for you great. |
