Is there ANY way at all of doing this?
I can get files to the phone from my computer easily and it works fine, but getting them off the phone to the PC is seemingly impossible.
I am using winXP SP1 with the MS Bluetooth Tranciever that comes with the wireless desktop set.
I am aware that the tranciever doesn't support virtual com ports...I was wondering if anyone had got it working in a similar way to MObileagent sending files.
Any help appreciated

Yeah think it can be done.I had a lot of problemd with my MSI-dongle before it could go both ways but now it's working great. One tips use search in this forum and check out everything about bluetooth, because a lot of folks have the same problems and most of the cases it's softwarebased.

Yeah, I had a good old search through, and the only things I could find were for widcomm based dongles, and annoyingly the MS adapter isn't widcomm based.
The only posts for the MS one I seem to be able to find are people asking how to do things.
So er...anyone got any ideas? |

Yes you can. Please look at the MSI 6967 thread at the Technical Forum. You would "upgrade" your software using Tecom's software.
Use those for your search keys. |

Yeah I saw that, but that is for the MSI adapter, as in MicroStar International.
I mean the MS as in MicroSoft. That uses it's own bluetooth stack built into windowsXP SP1 with the update. Anything for that? |

Ok. I tried it anyway.
I had to manually edit the driver file so that it would load for the specific hardware ID for the BT adapter but...
IT WORKED!!!
However....
The problem now, is that the widcomm drivers DONT support the HID profile, so I can no longer use my keyboard and mouse any more!
So what I've had to do is set my laptop up as a Widcomm based system, and my main PC as an MS based system.
Bit of a pain, but until either Widcomm support HID or MS support serial profiles, I have no alternative (as far as I know) |

where do you buy MS BT?
it must cost you a lot.
MIS BT dongle works great for you ,although i wasted a lot of time on figuring out how should it work at the first.
any way, it works like a charm NOW! |

My microsoft bluetooth was from amazon.co.uk and yes it was expensive, but I now have a really good keyboard and mouse set too
I don't have any MSI (MIS?) products, so I wouldn't know how they worked.
My only wish would be that I could get either the WIDCOMM drivers to recognise my Microsoft Drivers and the HID profile...or that I could get the Microsoft drivers to support the serial profile...because I can't have both profiles at once |
