Hi,

Has anyone ever tried using a SE T68i with the Nokia CARK112? I have received the following emails from Ericsson and Nokia which implies it should work... but you know how these things have a tendancy to go up the shi**er in real life. Any real life experience would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jon.

-- Nokia --

...the Car kit supports a Bluetooth 1.1 handsfree profile and is compatible with other existing and upcoming phones on the market which support this same profile.

-- Ericsson --

... I would like to confirm that the T68i handset is manufactured to Bluetooth specification 1.1. I hope this helps with your enquiry.

I know this reply is rather late but I have only just found this forum.

I have a T68i and recently bought a Nokia CK-1W bluetooth car kit and not been able to get them to work together (despite getting the same reply as the previous poster from Nokia and SE). The carkit works with a Nokia phone (unsuprisingly) and my T68i works OK with a Motorola Bluetooth hands free headset.

After eventually getting through to someone technical at SE customer services they said it is possibly due to old firmware in my phone (R2F004). As my phone is only 9 months old I was a bit annoyed by this but it is now at a service centre (Intec) being upgraded - hopefully to R8 with the new games .

I'll update this post once I get the phone back and try to get it working with the car kit.

Update:

Well I got the phone software upgraded and it was to R8A015 with the new games.

However I still can't get it work with the Nokia Car-Kit. Fortunately the shop that I bought the car-kit from recommended the Nokia kit rather than the Sony one and so they have agreed provide me with a replacement Sony HCB-30 free of charge. That will be installed next week – and hopefully will work!
