If Gorilla glass is so good, then why do we still have to use screen protectors?

What is everyone using?

Good question. I ask myself so many times. But you know, we don't always trust the manufacturers.

My Xiaomi Mi 10T came with a screen protector from the factory. Since it was well installed, I didn't bother to remove it. Almost four years later, everything is still flawless. PS. Both the screen protector and the soft case are also supposed to have antimicrobial properties.

I never even heard of the Hydrogel protector before, definitely looking into that, instead of the tempered glass ones.

I never used screen protectors. My 8 year old iPhone 7+ is still scratchless.

Years ago, my old phones used to last years without scratching. Nowadays the screens don't seem to be much better, considering all the hype around each new version of screen protection.

I tend to use screen protectors but in the last 2 years, I have taken it off my 1m2.

Screen still looks flawless but i do try to make sure i don't stick it in pockets/bags with objects that could scratch it.

Hi all,

I really can't remember the last time I bought and used a screen protector but I just make sure my phone is always kept in a pocket by itself. My last phone that I just gave to my mum is an Xperia 1 II and after 4 years thanks to a Spigen case can still pass for brand new. I suppose a lot of it is down to your lifestyle and just how careful you are with your now very expensive computer in your pocket but as I said I just don't need or use one.

The only problem with common sense is that it is not that common.
