Not exactly. Latest rumors say 15/15+ use exmor T main camera (48MP 1/1.6") while Pro Max has 1/2" or 1/1.9" exmor T in periscope.
Sony has obligation to use exmor T on all rear and front for Mark 6. No excuses to avoid.
Bonus 2: So, for Asia, sony advertises 5v as " phone for women" , then videos for Europe, as "phones for 40ish single cute men". 
Bonus 3: So, 1v has back Gorilla Victus ( " gorilla glass 7" ) but 5v rear is Victus 2 (" gorilla glass 9") .

Lack of high profile reviews of 5V is concerning. Even YouTube videos are sparce. Here and there just some Japanese random dudes got the phone and posted their in-depth videos while there are still new videos of 1V unboxing being posted regularly.
Will we ever see 5VI if this flops like it seems it will? |

People were expecting this phone so much because of SD8g2 and imx888. Then sony cuts the 60mm camera. People are very 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Many people that got hands on 1v were from USA. And 5v is not listed on Sony USA website.
Considering the amount of money Sony makes and how many devices they may sell, it is pretty obvious that 1 series is far more popular than 10 and 5. Just a guess, but I think I am right.
Anyways, Digital CS basically has confirmed exmor T on iphone 15/15+. I thought Xperia would have exclusivity until mid 2024.

5 V wont be on sale officially in US. Shame. This could pretty much be the very last twitch of 5 series.
EDIT:one UK vid has confirmed that display has severe frequency shifting issues when tilting the phone. That's a trait of old OLED panels like XZ3 or iPhone X. So they've changed the panel which was obvious from the look of the cover glass and they've downgraded it to save more money.

I saw the actual working demo set. Yes the display did go blue at the corner but you only see the blue at the very corner (like 175 degrees onwards) so it does not bother me at all. The color do look good also. From the video in Techedit, the color look more accurate though.

Interesting info from my friend who is OLED panel engineer, regarding the fact that 5V is fatter (bezel wider and heavier).
He said he was 99% sure it's due to the use of cheaper OLED panel. |

It has latest GGV2 and fancy exmor T. Still in Europe cheaper than 5iv. Obviously that removing one camera alone would not allow this.

Sony official statement is its more efficient panel.
In reality we all know what that means right? Cheap panel with less features. That is why it's more efficient. |
