Yes but the way sony touted the xz3 and xz1 being the first with android 9 and 8, later to give them only 1 major update was complete stupidity. |

Devices with same SoC get same updates. No way xz3 would have android 11 while xz2 stuck with 10. This is why sony no longer does it out of box. I know money is short there, but giving A14 to mark 3 would be nice. 3 to flagships and two for 10/Ace. That is more than enough. |

XZ3 story is the funny one. It was the world's first Android 9 phone but I guess users prefered to upgrade themselves so they could have a feeling they got two ugrades instead of one. That's why Sony ships 5 with "older" Android so users coould upgrade it one month later down the road themselves. Psychology at work.
But honestly between Android 11 to Android 13 hardly has anything chnaged. They keep flip flopping between features. |

Reports I've seen so far, ppl seem more satisfied with a13 than they were with a12. |

I agree, they should have gone for 1 more update, though most of the phones, I use for only 6 months (Xperia 1, 1ii, 1iii), however, there are some phones I am still using it today (XZ3P, Pro, Pro-i) because of their features not available on other phones.

Someone on FB says 1v has VC, while 5v does not.

Anyway, I think I'll be getting motorola G62 or 82 soon. No decent option here. 😰
