Larger sensor has higher base ISO. Pro-i does not shoot below iso100. You see there 64, can mean two things:
A) it is fake and belongs to mark4
B) it belongs to mark 5 , but it is still 1/1.65" |

Nikon has ISO 64 in a full frame (Sony) sensor. So if this is a new sensor, it isn't technically impossible.

Extended ISO, phones cant do it. Basically fake iso.
Look at new iphone pro , often uses 80 and 100 in daylight when previous models use much lower like 24-40. |

I can assure you its not true the owner of that pic is fat-fingered and made a typo, should be BC72 not DC72

Looks ultra thick. Like those rugged phones with 10.000 mAh battery. |

I had pretty much gave up on xperia lines due to the stupid 4G/5G network band limitation. why can't sony just include all the bands like motorola or pixel? global/roaming phone no longer works if you travel between asia, europe and na is quite a joke. on the old xperia we can at least root it and force enable all network bands hw can do, but newer xperia seemed to have removed that capability |

Not even chinese phones that sell much more have all bands used on Earth. This is not cheap. |

Hey everyone.
May not be big news or Xperia focused but ...
https://www.gsmarena.com/appl[....]for_its_iphones-news-56855.php
Everyone in the smartphone industry knows that Apple keeps a tight lid on its suppliers and a lot the more technical specs of its products, so Tim Cook's visit to Sony's facility for CMOS sensors is kind of a big deal.
Analysts and fans have been suspecting this for a while now and Tim Cook finally admitted that Apple has been working with Sony for over a decade. Apple's CEO posted a photo of Sony's CEO Kenichiro Yoshida showing him around a Sony facility.
Sony is working on a new sensor using semiconductor technologies, letting more light in and reducing the possibility of under or overexposure.

So something regarding camera sensor may be relevant in this thread for future Xperia phones.
