There surely must have been some incidents occurred which caused them to wake up and start biting back.

No rumours so far. I think the phone line-up is OK with 1,5 and 10 III, so my wish would be a new 4K tablet and a smartwatch based on new Google WearOS. I also think they should commit to 3 OS upgrades and find a unique way for Xperia to integrate with the Playstation community. |

Folding display is still not mature yet. Sony long ago already created flexible display

and they produce the Sony CLEDIS ~ |

If Samsung barely sells Z series, what chances Sony would. Hard to imagine they selling more than 20.000 units. Even in Japan if they has something like Z Flip/Razr. |

It seems Sony has some great innovation like this but rarely produces the hardware to showcase it.

I believe they also deem it not feasible that's why did not come out with future designs simply it does not make sense / usefulness index is near zero.
Those are useless gimmicks and deem waste of resources and money. Eg 200mp mobile sensor/ curved edge display. What proper use they provide? Does a person normally take a 200mp picture using their mobile phone? Even DSLR never reach that state. How useful is curved display / tv besides expensive replacement and huge gigantic space consuming packaging? |

I agree. They're waiting for the next paradigm shift in mobile technology but for now they're happy to just stay in the game.
You can bet they're watching the new 'Folding phones' to see how that craze pans out.
