strange stuff here in the states... not sure what's going on.
amazon lists xperia 1ii as $1199 with no free gift.
amazon lists xperia 1ii with the ear buds for $1379.. wtf?
bestbuy also lists the xperia 1ii as $1199 and no mention of a free ear bud gift. I think they did before, but i'm not 100% sure.
B&H still shows the free gift. pretty ridiculous that big retailers like amazon and bestbuy aren't advertising the free gift or not offering it at all for the SAME price.

In UK, O2 already sold 1750 units.
Cant believe crappy Pixel sold 2x more than Xperia in 2019.
Phone always full of bugs and other issues.

it's listed yes, but like i said, there is no free gift in the description.
just buy from the US and have someone ship it to you. or cross the border yourself 
sony USA isn't very trustworthy as a source of information because they are answering questions on amazon's listing with incorrect answers.

Huawei is really nothing spectacular, they rely on HDR and because of it every image that has lots of high frequency such as grass or leaves will be out of focus on the slightest motion despite pixel binning. HDR also kills any contrast in the background of this image. Huawei color science is way off, much better than P30 but still too saturated and so far off from reality. Xperia on the other hand still struggles with highlights, that snail's shell has no data what so ever.
If I had to choose one image out of the two I would pick neither one. Good image would be Huawei's snail with the rest from Xperia 1 II |

That chart is weird. Regular XZ2 is one of the best if not the best phone to ever take that picture when it comes to sharpness and detail. That's because it triggered the Tripod mode. Xperia 1 is so out of focus that I was convinced they accidentally picked the bad photo out of them all but Xperia 1 II seems even worse. But here is the kicker, both Xperia 1 and Xperia 1 II have sharper photos in Low Light image. I want to say it's the early software or something cause it makes very little sense. |
