They have never felt bothered by 4K, but complain now. Not even on Z5P.
They know you cannot record 4K with 8MP. If they say no 1080@60, that's okay. But 4K is ridiculous.
They know 65W will f*** the battery. But atill complain.
Considering that all CONS pointed for 1 were fixed, looks like they need to find lame excuses fo new cons.
So, for mark iii they will complain screen is flat and no 8K on front cam?
Person says it cant use 4K on youtube, when japanese videos clearly shows it can.
Creator Mode with delta above 6? Not even the screen of L series would give this number.
That is ridiculous.

I wouldn't worry about delta at all because that's like the loudness. In order to meter it you have to have some point of reference. If point of reference is not properly identified than the whole metering is off. But then there is real world usage which is a lot more important and the perfect case for that is Samsung S or Note. Many online outlets swear these are the best displays they have ever tested and I believe them but in laboratory testing conditions. As soon as you pick up S20 or Note 10 first thing you notice is yellow tint all over the screen that shifts as mush as you tilt the phone. So in real world usage I can sign off that Samsung is worse than Apple, Huawei, LG and even Sony. |

From Weibo..
#SONY Xperia 1 II # Part of the sneak run evaluation is based on the preview version firmware.
Battery: It's neck and neck with the first generation(Xperia 1), ask Sony official, reply to the preview firmware is not counted, please wait for the new firmware.
Camera: If you want to go straight out of your head, choose Huawei Samsung or iPhone. The normal camera app is good, but not so good. Photo Pro is very good, if you are a Suojia mirrorless user; you need a certain photography foundation, Xiaobai manual adjustment of parameters will be blind, will smash the phone or something. Both new and old camera apps are constantly being optimized. At present, it is known that the telephoto module is relatively imaging, and the selfie lens has no 4K and no AF.
Screen: The essence has not changed much, and the software matching has been improved. It is recommended to keep the master(Creator) mode open, the best choice, the maximum automatic brightness is about 600 (overall), 1 generation 665 but only limited to a few and a few native apps. So the second generation feels bright. Actually it's not bad, the strategy is different. The official said that it can go to close to 800 (S20 +), but for color accuracy and battery limit is about 600. How to get refresh rate 60 is not as good as 90 and 120, but better than normal 60. Sugong revealed that the screen can actually achieve fhd + 120, but the regeneration is limited, which is limited. |

Just a question, how effective is the 3D itof compared to the laser autofocus system used by Xperia in the XZ series?
It's just intriguing me as those laser autofocus were not given much attention before.

Another important question is : how good is the 70mm lens on macro? Does it focus well? The intelligent auto on my xperia 1 52mm cannot focus as well as the 26mm (52mm is the Samsung sensor) and
does it heat up easily without the HS function? Lets hope it maintains 10 degrees lower than xperia 1 for all tough usages

Not a camera expert but I've read somewhere that at close range, the telephoto does do focus properly.
Also, impressed with the camera of this phone.
Here is a photo comparison between P40 pro.

What's intriguing me is how did Sony manage to deliver deeper depth of field than Huawei when the former has a bigger sized sensor than the Sony.
But I daresay, disappointed with video stabilization
Xperia is really becoming the old Sony.

I think japan xperia using old firmware while reviewers in other countries using the new firmware. The japanese xperia doesn't come with photopro app. The video stabilization on gsm arena is much better and sharper than japanese reviews although its not the latest software. The latest firmware will come with raw shooting |

Macro shot should focus at 10cm for most Sony mobiles I had previously besides Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 for its 52mm. For intelligence auto it sometimes can detect macro sometimes fail. |

Sony sure have made the mess out of this one. I don't by that video stabilization is better on GSM Arena video. They did screw up big time with OIS addition. Something is off. |

I saw a guy from Japan doing tests.
SteadyShot 4K30 is as good as XZ.
Miles better than 1. |

Mark II don't have problem with 4K30 only with full HD if I'm not mistaken. No worries software update would fix those issues |

A rather nice review here from CNet. A nice change from the usual rubbish reviews from GSM Arena etc.
(I'm not sure why but I found the video he made pretty amusing. )

Techradar also published their review, which is something a 10 year old geek can published. For godsake Sony, don't bother sending your phones on biased sites who loves sponsorship.
Give me the f**kin phone and it will probably have more views and I will give a proper review.
Probably, Sony did not give them any sponsorship.
