Mark III will be announced fev/2021.
Does anyone know according to usual schedule when they may start to work on it?

I doubt 5 II may bring anything new, maybe software.
Probably is just smaller version of 1 again.

I suspect they may use micro-matrix for 1 III?
According to illustrative photo, bezel seem half of 1 ii.
Then they could increase screen size, to make bit wider.

Someone posted on weibo.
Then Buks "answered" the post.

The example used was based on 1 ii. Not necessary will show up on xperia ....
This tech allows cam to be inside frame or ugly screen hole.
Sensor is smaller without losing performance.
It is like you have 1/5" that has quality of 1/4" for example.

Idk how to see old weibo posts.

Is it true there's no more Album app? Is it confirmed? I like that app especially the pinch function to change the size of the photos in the gallery. I tried the pinch feature in Google Photos, it is not as smooth and fluidic like the album app.

Album supports Android 10 and will most likely be updated for Android 11/12 because of Xperia 1/5 so it should work on new Xperia phones if you sideload it after you sign it with mixplorer and mix signer app. That's how I still use old Sony Calendar app.

I don't think that will be the case. They are either going to bundle them with wf-1kXm3 or xb700. But that's my prediction solely because CH is very low end of headphones.

$200 seems a lot for low end wireless headphone.
Low end would not have ACN nor even LDAC, like mine does not.

From Weibo..

According to test feedback, the Sony Xperia 1 II battery life is difficult to survive for a day under moderate intensity use of 5G networks. Like the # SonyXperia 1 # , the Power bank will be inserted for more than half a day. Sony engineers say they are optimizing the system

Xperia 1 II test feedback continues to come. News is still concerned about battery life. It is still the engineering version of the firmware. In 5G environment, there are intermittent calls, speed measurement, test software, and application software debugging. The battery will be GG in less than three hours. Feeling obvious, is in the focus of optimization. The shooting part is also constantly improving. The next test firmware will increase the support for eye af and 4K image shooting of the wide-angle camera and strive to be installed before shipment.

They are the cheapest NC headphones Sony makes if you don't count previous model CH700N which goes for discount $130 right now but other than that CH is the cheapest range overall.

None of the three phones have qnovo listed as battery feature.
Also 10 ii and L4 do 10fps burst, but of course no AF, I suppose.

Any Japanese speaking members can give a run down of anything interesting that's been mentioned?

he doesn't tell us much that we don't already know and he doesn't do a ton of in depth review really.

only real negatives he pointed out were the black bars when viewing normal content not meant for 21:9 and the fact that the screen is still not very bright (the part where he's comparing it to the iphone).

he said camera burst photography worked well with the auto focus. each of the frames had the train in focus with no blur and eye autofocus tracking worked well too (though i would say his test was fundamentally flawed).

not a great reviewer but at least it's nice to see it out in the wild and being reviewed at all. seems that photo Pro still isn't working cause he didn't touch it at all.
