The best of xz2 was 10000x better than best of most.
Including newer flagships.
L3 (iso 1175) beats s10+ (Iso 400) in low light test ..... 🎉🎉🎉
Select spongebob, carrot or dollar bill, you will be shocked how easily L3 wiped floor with s10+.
You are right , they seem to extract more from mediatek.
L3 beats 10/10+.

Lol I guess Japanese know how to make entry level phones that trump Korean flagships. Jokes aside it really does beat it in detail but has too much grain. S10 still should be more versatile with ois and large aperture (when it's darker). Still, it baffles me how S10 is considered a camera benchmark.
I kind of want to dissect DxOMark evaluation too. I find it especially suspicious S10 has higher or equal texture, zoom and wide scores than X1 |

Considering L3 was using iso above 1000 and s10+ below 500.
Noisier photo was expected.
It is pretty obvious that Galaxy are the worse when ISO goes up.
That are phones take take usable photos at higher ISO, Galaxy is useless above 400.
I want to know all new phones have.
Zte yesterday told everything about upcoming Axon 10s, that will be presented at MWC.
I bet eye AF in 2020 will be better than nikon cameras, it is almost there already.

If tripod 19mp can't beat 12mp in detail with tons of noises(in good light), then it's a shame for all Japanese
Xa 1 can easily beat xzp in every condition, tell me what that means, fanboy, lol

I've already said pure and blur means nothing, they want pure most. It's just a compromised strategy.
Z5 was even worse than z3 in detail while it's a dxo top 
Xz2 can only see something clear when it's ISO lower than 400 at night
That means you can not get any clear pictures with pure view when you're shoting by your hand.

Wow just wow. It just proves proves that Sony can make it! ~ just software algorithm together with good sensor ~ hope future phones all look like that with accurate colors and not those "instagram" type
BTW they removed the multi frame noise reduction. It seems very good for low light handheld photography! Hoping for return ~ |

The score is also AF, colours, exposure, flash etc ...
Z5 had much higher score of AF and steadyshot than z4 and z3.
The other z had issues with flash. Right side of the photo purple.
Z5 was the only sony that ended up #1. S6e also had 88 of still, but lower video.
Z4 was behind s6 and G4
Z3 was behind note 4
Z1 was behind nokia.
At least back then, phones could barely beat each other by 1 or 2 points.
Difference between generations was small. Even hard to tell if photo was from A, A2 or A3.
Now the phone A gets 120 points of photos, then A2 gets 135 points with almost same hardware.
Software is not going to make that jump.
I laugh to see a phone with 80 points of bokeh when it has same issues (parts of body covered by the blur) of another that got 40.
I hope sony does not join the stupid hybrid zoom thing.
It is dumb to take photo of something 300m away if photo will be VGA quality.
2MP macro camera is stupid too. |

They suspect it is 765.
If you go to androplus, you can see codes that point to SD665.
I dont think they would put 8 gigas for midrange.
I would believe 4 GB for europe/USA and 6GB for China/HK/Taiwan.
Geekbench 5 shows average score of : 314/1353 for 665.
Prototypes always score more than retail device.
Everyone is adopting cooktop cam style.
I hope sony is not stupid enough to do it too.

I've found something interesting in DxO's Xperia 1 page.
The 2x zoom shot has 2.18x Digital Zoom value in its EXIF. I thought it was normal because it's the 2x camera but the portrait shots and Gsmarena's 2x shots have 1x digital zoom value.

Anyone have X1? What's the exif digital zoom value for 5x good light (to make sure 52mm cam is used)?
What I mean is, did they use 52mm camera and then zoomed in further (which would make the shot worse) or is this some error in sw?

Comparing the two EXIF details, it reads like DXO were using the 2x lens with an additional 2.18x digital, so 4.36x total.
Edit: I've just had a look, I wouldn't be surprised if those giraffe pictures are the 5x P30 Pro camera Vs the 1's 2x with 2.2x digital to match the zoom.

They used digital zoom of 52mm to match the focal length of Huawei.
@Sidney .... Cooktop is that thing used to cook. Like the top of the stove.
Esato is replacing that part of the house for ****** .... 🙄
Midrange with 765 + 8GB looks very agressive move.
Now it needs HDR screen, stereo and IP68.
For less than $520 , of course.
