It can help improving AF system, depth for AR effects also better Face ID.
Putting just for bokeh like all do , would be waste of space and money. |

Also there was 3d scanning which created a map in about 1 minute without tof. This would help it do this instantly or more accurately.
The rumored resolution of Sony's tof is 0.5mp, Samsung had 0.3
This might also mean more accuracy or fine tuned effects. |

The Snapdragon 865 chipset is also a big boost for mobile video. In addition to 8K video capture, the chipset also supports 4K HDR (HDR10 +, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision), 120fps 4K video and 4K video capture, while simultaneously capturing a 640 megapixel five-shot sequence. This makes it the first chipset to capture Dobly Vision video in real time, and in addition to capturing video at 120fps, the chipset can also play video at 120fps in real time when combined with a 120Hz display, such as those found on Razer Phone, Razer Phone 2, Sharp Aquos R3 Smartphones and Asus ROG Phone II.
Qualcomm also addressed high speed capture. Snapdragon 865 can capture 720p video at 960fps without limits. 720p video at 960fps is not new, as the Sony Xperia XZ and more than a dozen other smartphones from Sony, Samsung, Huawei, Sony and Xiaomi can attest, but today's devices are limited to capturing just a few seconds at a time. When paired with the proper hardware, the Snapdragon 865 chipset can record 960fps videos indefinitely; or at least until it runs out of storage.
All a phone needs are : sensor that can do 4K120 and 8K + heat management beyond excellent. But no sensor for cellphone can do 8K so far. Isocell 108MP does 6K according to Samsung.

has there been any other concrete information about the 2020 flagship to be announced at MWC?
I think the Xperia 1 is a great device but there are things they can improve on, which I won't go into length here. But if they can improve on the Xperia 1 and price the phone reasonably, I'd be on board to upgrade.
I'm looking for a phone I can use for some fun videography, so the cinemapro really interests me. if the 6 camera phone is legit and they are able to utilize the 6 different cameras to improve still images and provide extra flexibility and options for videos, that'd be perfect.

I have no idea what they are up to.
But I would guess if X0 is real that it would have different FLs, not Nokia 9 combo.
I think many brands will bet at for example 0.6x + 1x + 2x + 5x + ToF.
2x for bokeh and 5x periscope to get more zoom score on dxo test.
