Probably machine translation messing it up. It must mean the usual "strengths form all divisions", you know RNR from Alpha, X Reality from Bravia, Cinema Pro from CineAlta etc.
Sony Mobile had until 2020 to be profitable again. This was mentioned since Kaz was CEO, I guess it's time to give it all or just die. Zack says IF they are still alive, they'll be absorbed by Sony Electronics. He also says this will prevent the "sale" of the division. |

Yes, probably means more integration between products.
Working with Alpha for photos.
CineAlta for videos.
Bravia team for screen.

Let's not forget months ago there was one with 5040 x 2160. I have never seen fake uaprof.
Weird the fact I only seen uaprof of sony on internet.

3 new models for mwc. But one of the model names have "J" suggesting it's from this year. This also coincide with the androidnext article that said "Xperia XZ2 compact → Xperia 3 (3 rear camera 5G 2K) (Coming Soon)."
Now it makes sense to name this 3, since it'll have sd865 and 5g.

Any chance 3 comes at CES?
No 865 phone will be out this year.
Qualcomm did not even presented the chip.

My opinion :
XZ2P ➡️ 1 ➡️ 1.1
XZ2 ➡️ 5 ➡️ 5.1
XZ3 ➡️ 3
Zero kinda "Premium Pro" ....
Except cam setup, I have no idea what this "Zero" could have better than "1.1".
I dont think Sony would put 12GB ram, 1TB storage, 6000mAh, 240Hz oled.
At least not in 2020.

A would be perfect camera if on the left are all RGB (16, 28, 54) and on the right all mono (16, 28, 54)... All paired with Aube. 😍

The chip will be announced on the 3rd of December. I don't think we'll see it released before 2020 but we might see it announced soon. There was also a rumor that 3 was Japan only, and the fact that docomo 1 production stopped might mean another Xperia is really coming soon.
I guess Xperia 0 will be something of its own. And should cost more than 1000 dollars. The 5k device could very well be the X0. |

Sony has been saying it was putting the BEST of Sony in their mobile phone for years - yet we have yet to see the true BEST from Sony from all divisions. Sure, they may all work on the phone together but the BEST from sony? not so sure about that.

I prefer design B because better to hold while in camera mode using the shutter button. Your middle finger have more space to hold the phone properly while taking photos. |

If I am using both hands to take a photo or doing video, I use only thumps and index to hold phone.
Making my hands like this [ ] ....
Right mid finger stays near usb.
It is I do to avoid covering the lenses.
All this if I want to use the button ....
If I want to use screen shutter and only my right hand: index and pinky on the frame, thumb to touch screen and the other two touching rear panel.
Two question for those with xperia android 9.
1) does the UI still have that option to shake phone to refuse call and put in contact to your ear to answer?
2) does it still has diagonal swipe to switch between rear and selfie?
