Sony has been busy with sensors for Full Frame, Micro 4/3 and security cameras lately.
They are going to build one more factory in Japan to increase sensor production.

Of course we all are going to dream about seeing this one inside new midranges.
Then we wake up and realize they may use crappy isocell or old exmor again.

Modranges were leaked in oct/18, nothing so far. 😰

Where do you see about camera? All I see is that midrange compact and link to imgur with nothing interesting.

The team responsible for the display deserves a huge congrats.
I watched a video from Sony that the engineer talks about the challenges of doing what ismdone with those expensive Sony professional monitors on a phone.

When Bravia Oled came out, I watched a review of it compared to one LG oled.
They played one wildlife video somwe can we difference on both.
Today I found a video about X1, the same video played on it.
There is a green snake, X1 shows same green seen from A1E.

BONUS 1

" At default settings, the iPhone 11 Pro Max records video at 1080p Full HD resolution and 30 frames per second, but it achieves the best results at 4K resolution, which we have tested for this review." DxOmark team ....

All phones are tested using default video, they changed to achieve higher score. LOL

Bonus 2 : IMX686 announced , 64MP (probably QB and 1/1.7" like the isocell)

@tai https://youtu.be/aW4Dtkjx5K8 At 2:08 , look at the snake. I've seen same image on a video of bravia oled (could not find) , snake with same green tone.

DXO lost it's credibility this year, within the industry they laugh at them and consider them cheap marketing opportunity. They've been shamed by many people who develop phones so let it be.

Probably a joke but if real, it'd most likely be either QHD or Fhd version of X1 6.5". But the price would be too high not to choose X1 over this unless it has better battery or something.

If dxo used 4k for Xperia then it'd probably score worse, but since they are choosing the best option then they should have reviewed 4k HDR.

Only score of stabilization would be lower compared to full hd.
Weird they decided to change again because iphone.

Sony and HTC had bokeh before Apple.
LG with Ultra Wide.
Phones with night mode (Gran Prime of my mom has night mode)
Now 4K tested

Sony should set as default the Eye AF and Burst AF.

The test of X1, the backlit "portrait" (not using portrait mode) by window, X1 did better than other phones.
It did not underexposed face to preserve outdoor. But still could grab some stuff out there.

if true, that would be a welcome upgrade and SHOULD be advertised in the announcement.

I'm getting to the point of needing to upgrade, so I am very much hoping the xperia 1 successor in 2020 is a nice upgrade.

They should give an update to unlock the previous devices.
According to xda, even XA2 has 120Hz.
Let the user choose.

https://www.xda-developers.co[....]120hz-screen-mode-razer-phone/

" It turns out that there are more Sony devices that have a hidden 120Hz display mode disabled by the kernel. XDA Recognized Developer Myself5 went digging into the source to confirm to us that the Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia X Performance, Sony Xperia XZ, Sony Xperia XZ1, Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Sony Xperia XA2, and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra all support this screen mode. Basically, any new Sony phone except for the Sony Xperia X Compact should support this mode."

I think it is funny how much tech sites protect few brands.
I read before lunch the review of pixel 4.
Shocked to see the photos.
Many of them look like were taken with 2014 low end.
