Alvin,good decision.
Samsung is not what it was in the past.
But somc will never rise again.
Trust me
After all this damn shit, they may go hell in the end.
Blind fans and sucks Management
Good news is they can study about how to build a better camera system from Samsung .
Copy from a industry leader is not a shame.

@moogoo: i do hope so, thank you so much!
@hawk: exynos, sadly. I hope it’ll be much better this year.
@unfadedghost: i guess so, thanks. Samsung is likeable for me now, beside that I also have no choice (I’ve questioned myself while finishing the pre order process).

Just got new informations about the successor. Yes, they’ll bring old features back and some new features from what we’ve heard before and we haven’t heard before. A hint:

The S20 Ultra is super expensive, I'd rather have the iPhone for that money. Personally, if I dump Sony it'll be for OnePlus but I'm loving the Xperia 5 and I'll probably get it's successor |

It seems they listened to their customers with the Xperia 5 and made some improvements, which is a good sign that they are prepared to make changes.
I think they have compromised on the materials they have used in the past on the Compact range, for instance, giving the Z5 an Aluminium frame but the Compact version only Plastic. The Compact range sort of lost it's 'sheen'. The Xp5 though, corrected that.

I think:
> 3.5mm jack returns
> front facing speakers
> bigger battery
> camera like the S20
> FPS in the power button
> Xperia 1 with 4K again
> Xperia 5 updated |

Sony should do their announcement few days earlier, now that no longer tied to mwc.

Why does the supposed telephoto of s20 /20 plus model have 28 mm focal length
What is the purpose of such a module apart from digital zoom?
Hope sony does something different from the s20 u lineup

Ah it's 28mm? I'd not seen that confirmed.
It's to use the 64Mp for zoom, but the wider view will be being kept for the 8K video recording.

Samsung put a native 64MP for digital zoom instead of 2x fixed FL and 8K video.
No other use.
Better cmos and digital zoom may be better than 2x of worse hardware.
That is why.
It is 1/1.7. Then module would be almost twice than it is at 28mm.
https://androidnext.info/?p=2080 Please, have it ...
LOL, what a failure the 8K from Samsung.
Limited to 5min.
Files are about 3GB, this means bitrate is not much different to 4K.

Hawk - so what? They're trying not to let the phone overheat. Also, can't really make fun of a gimmick feature when Sony had their share of gimmick features too. Just the nature of the game.
