I doubt sony will charge $1400.
And X1 came cheaper than XZ2P.

guess it depends on location
here in the US, S20 lowest model will start at $1000 USD. X1 was $900 or 950 at launch? Close enough to not make much of a difference.
prices are insane these days. where will it end? that's the question.

Yeah. And usually USA gets cheapest prices of Samsung and Apple.
This is why I dont mind buying previous generations.
I will have the dvice, it is zero use.
There are tons of things more important than spending $750-2500 on a cellphone. |

at least with sony devices, demand is so low that the price usually drops $200 within 3-4 months. and even more after whatever is announced at IFA.
so you can get a "current" phone for a good price! that will be my plan unless there is a considerably good preorder bundle.
BTW - who do people order from in the UK these days? I used to order from Clove and Handtec. Clove is still going strong but Handtec seems to be refurb only now.

Off topic, but I'm definitely getting that S20 Ultra.
I just don't want to make similar mistakes as I did two years ago when I was purchasing this buggy XZ2. Now this phone's usb port got malfunctioned for no reason that I know and it is laggy as heck. My iPhone 7 running iOS 13 runs much better than this thing.
Daily Drivers: Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and iPhone 14 Pro Max
Secondary: vivo X80 Pro
Still using as a backup: Xperia XZ2

S20+ has two camera of almost same FL.
One is just for digital zoom and 8K.
Pointless.
Better making a 50MP 1/1.5" Bayer instead.
Get rid of DVS amd use space for a 1/1.5" mono.
Does it mean crappy 1/3.4" isocell for UWA again?
I bet Apple dropped isocell because they were not satisfied.

Zack - I would have been happier if it matched the camera specs of the ultra if not exceeded it with Sony specific tech

Alvin, does your area get Snapdragon or crappynos?
Hope Samsung newer phones dont get slow after 6 months like they used to.
At least until 2018 they did.

I'm just wondering if there is 4G+SD865 model of S20/S20+, or 4G is Exynos only.
If there is, there is possibility that new xperia might have both 4g/5g versions with SD865 |
