I think that you need to compare side by side with the S10, no camera is utter crap but I was very disappointed when I saw it in comparison to the S10. I was completely shocked when I saw the video stabilisation, 4K had so much shake which seems like a step backwards. |

For the stabilization, there are people who said setting change to H265 will give much better stabilization. |

The 4K stabilization maybe sucks but at Full HD the S10+ can't even compete, in good lighting condition most phone even with only EIS will look good and if you doesn't have any kind of stabilization you can use Google Photo to stabilize your video but in low light i never seen any phone with better stabilization than Xperia 1 just look at this video comparison with S10+

Yes but who would know about all of this unless they come to Esato? Also, if I buy a 4K phone there's no way I'm not going to take 4K videos. Sony needs to fix the software, period. |

Sony more or less make the 4k video recording an unattractive option. Unbelievable how they let this go unnoticed before the release or just straight up were hoping for customers not care about the poor stabilization.

I really do hope they improve the 4K stabilization tho, its really good, tho not perfect.

I can see Sony building off of this effort to produce some friggin' remarkable results, especially if the rumor of that new phone with the 5 cameras + TOF sensor is accurate. |

Why do they hide some info?
Ppl ask if the phone has Samsung sensors, they say they are not going to discuss it.
Ppl ask if it has ufs2.1 or 3.0, same answer.
Of course ufs3.0 was not available back then, they could just say that.
Samsung could not use it too for s10 despite being in-house component. |

Sony has historically been very tight lipped about components in their devices. This isn't anything new. |

Many stores are running out of units quickly.
But I dont know if Sony has made limited amount or sales are much better than expected.

Sony definitely didn't make a whole ton of phones in the first few runs. They aren't exactly rolling in cash so they need to be wise about how much inventory they create.
FYI for those who didn't know - X1 will be available for preorder in the US starting June 28 and comes with the M3 noise cancelling headphones just like in the UK. I'm actually pretty shocked they would bundle it in the US... Good for Sony.
